Dog Show HQ have been working hard to put together another fun day for you, your family, friends and more importantly for your dog to enjoy.
What can you expect to see this year?
Gun Dog Scurry
We are delighted to welcome back Sarah and the fantastic team from Hollindale Working Dogs.
If you haven't heard of a scurry before, its a fun and energetic activity, based on a dog’s ability to retrieve. Open to all dogs of all abilities, the typical format of a scurry is:

At the command, your dog is sent to retrieve a 'dummy'. The timer is started once they cross over the start line.

The timer is stopped once they cross the line again.

The fastest dog wins!
Dog and Owner Fancy Dress
Last year’s fancy dress class was a paws‑itively huge hit, so we’re bringing it back for 2026 — and we can’t wait to see what you and your four‑legged fashion icons come up with.
This is your chance to unleash your creativity, strut your mutt, and show off outfits that are cute, clever, or completely barking mad. Whether you go for a simple costume or a full‑on fur‑tastic masterpiece, it’s all about having fun and wagging your way through the day.
Have a go at Dog Agility
Our have-a-go activity ring is available from 11:00am
Cost: £2:00 (max 3 rounds)
Mix and match (any game and activity).
Join in Musical Mats, Egg and Spoon and Have-a-Go Agility and pay £4.00 for the price of 3.
Class Timetable
TTimings are approximate and classes may start a little earlier or later than time-tabled. This is because judging very much depends on the number of entries per class as well as unknown factors such as inclement weather.
We will do our best to adhere to the time-table but ask for your understanding where this may not always be possible.

12:15 - Waggiest Tail
12:30 - Woofdale's Scruffiest Mutt
12:40 - Belle of the Park - prettiest female dog (small to medium, approx 5kg - 15 kgs)
13:00 - Belle of the Park - prettiest female dog (medium to large, over 15kgs)
Fun game - Egg and Spoon Race
Owners compete with their dog on a lead. Max 15).
Group 3
13:45 - Dog and Owner Fancy Dress!
14:05 - Handsome Hound (small to medium dogs, up to 15ks)
14:25 - Handsome Hound (medium to large dogs, over 15kgs)
14:45 - Judges Favourite (for any dog who hasn't won a rosette today).
Stalls
We're thrilled to have our loyal friends from Guide Dogs joining us once again, along with new friends from the Hot Dog Hotel in Harrogate, bringing delicious dog treats that will make tails wag! A big welcome and thank you also goes to Alexa and Hallee from Alexa's Studios in Ilkley for their generous grooming treats nestled in our prize bags. Alexa and Hallee will also be providing tips on dog grooming. Don't forget to stop by Smart Coffee Live for a welcome brew or snack or say hi to Thomas if you fancy a yummy ice-cream treat. There's something for everyone! And if you need a little break, Caroline Bishop will be here to guide you and your canine companion to "Paws for Thought." Let’s make this a barking good time!
